 CORONA SAYS CLASS-11 NOTES

Summary
The poem "Corona Says" written by Vishnu S. Rai describes the fate of the coronavirus in the world. It makes us understand that the coronavirus did not come by itself but was invited due to industrialization, modernization, organization, pollution, and various human activities.

In the poem, Coronavirus itself is an orator. He addressed humans, asking them not to cry as they squashed the virus. He says he did not come to earth of his own free will but because of various human activities on earth. It is said that he is invited due to the pollution activities of man on earth. He complains to humans saying they only count people who have died from the coronavirus. But never count people because of their wars on earth. humans think only of them responsible for the coronavirus but not for themselves.

The peoples of the world believe they are the creators of everything. They don't like other creatures like birds, water animals, insects, and trees, they think all other creatures are their slaves and they can kill or bomb them. In reality, humans do not realize the importance of other creatures on earth. Therefore, they are facing a different pandemic.

The corona says not to blame it for the plight in the world. She says she came to earth to show humans how clean the blue sky is without the pollution from humans. He also wants to realize what humans feel like caged animals in a zoo that locked them in their homes during the lockdown. He also says that he also comes to earth to give the earth rest from various human activities.

Finally, Corona warns people not to view the land as the exclusive property of human beings. They must realize that all living creatures survive on earth. He says if humans continue their misdeeds, pollution, etc. On earth, it will disappear, but many other viruses will appear on earth. And they have to go back to the cage-like in ancient times.
